New industrial unit granted planning permission in Ballinamore

Sammon Developments have been granted conditional planning permission to construct a "large scale industrial unit" and car park on the Swanlinbar Road outside of Ballinamore.

Leitrim County Council granted the planning permission this month with 18 conditions for the construction of  a 367sqm industrial unit, provision of car carparking spaces, provision of site access and turning area, provision of finished floor levels to 59.1m, connection to town sewerage and water systems and associated site works at Kildorragh and Knockanroe townlands in Ballinamore.

The industrial unit which will be used for "light industrial uses"  and is likley to employ 10-12 people during normal hours of operation. The unit's design will be a corrugated structure with perforated mesh screen on metal frames. The internal layout will see three  provide workspaces at ground floor level and  two at first floor level. The intended use is for employment workspace, work areas for start up business and training of an enterprise or light industry nature.
