Work progress on multi-million euro facelift of Manorhamilton

The public realm works which will give Manorhamilton a multi-million euro facelift is intensifying in progress.
The works started in January with groundworks and have been continuing throughout February with footpath paving and initial construction at parking spaces.


The footpath along Main Street remains open for phase 1 of the scheduled works. Protected sandstone paving and bollards have now been laid and grouted. Excavations for services ducts and preparing ground for paving are ongoing.
This week kerb installation, as well as the concrete base for paving will be poured. Signage is in place about footpath or area closures. Drainage and cable ducting at Market Square as well as new paving will be laid down this week
The public realm project includes the provision of town centre car park spaces, increased pedestrian areas and enhancement of the town's Main Street area and business park.
