Manorhamilton’s Sean McDermott Boxing Club are hosting 50 years celebrations of Leitrim "All Ireland winning boxing titles" with 10 exhibition fights on Saturday April 15, at 7pm in the Bee Park Community.
Organisers hope to have as many of Leitrim’s All-Ireland medal winning boxers in attendance on the night in a list that includes European and Youth Olympic medalist Dearbhla Rooney as well as club coach James Kelly who won an All Ireland boxing title in 1994 and subsequently won a Leitrim senior football championship medal in 1999 with Glencar Manorhamilton.
