New Leitrim GAA mural in Carrick-on-Shannon
Another stunning mural has been completed in the county town.
This mural was designed and painted by artist Eloise Gillow. The Leitrim GAA Heritage piece was commissioned and part funded by the Carrick-on-Shannon Heritage group and Town and Village Scheme with the help of Leitrim Arts and Leitrim County Council.
The mural is located at on the gable wall of BR Bistro on St Mary's Close at the junction with Main Street and opposite The Bush Hotel.
It features - Josie Murray (St Mary's) jumping for the ball. Top left is Tony McGowan (Allen Gaels), middle left is Mickey Quinn (Aughawillan), bottom left is Paddy Dolan (Ballinamore).
Packie McGarty (Mohill) is on the top middle with Mickey Martin (St Mary's) below him. To the right, Michael McGowan (Melvin Gaels) is on the top, and John 'Nipper' Shanley (Annaduff) is on the bottom.
