Niamh Kavanagh and The Illegals bring their classic rock revue to Roscommon Arts Centre on June 10
Roscommon Arts Centre presents Eurovision winner Niamh Kavanagh along with the band The Illegals on Saturday, June 10, at 8pm.
Ireland’s only Double Tribute to the iconic music of Eagles and Fleetwood Mac. This is the first performance for The Illegals at Roscommon Arts Centre and they are delighted to bring their ever-popular, classic-rock revue to the stage.
In the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest, before an international audience of over 350 million people, Niamh wowed audiences with a powerful rendition of ‘In Your Eyes’ and achieved a resounding victory for Ireland. The second of Ireland’s famous three-in-a row victories, the song, In Your Eyes, went on to achieve double platinum status.
The Illegals are a band of experienced musicians performing mostly in theatres and rock venues throughout the country, putting on a formidable show and giving thousands of fans an experience they won’t forget.
Every year, they delve deeper into the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac back-catalogues to keep their dynamic live show fresh but familiar to packed venues throughout Ireland.
Aside from the headline albums the show consists of many other Eagles and Fleetwood Mac hits, as well as some of the solo work from individual members and other artists. Niamh and the band will be belting out a superb set from the Big Two and ‘connected’ others from the West Coast sound.
Led by Niamh, with her mesmerising voice, The Illegals will take you on a journey for three hours of soulful harmonies, exciting riffs, blistering guitars and unforgettable songs.
Audiences will love this entertaining night of vocal harmony, superb musicianship and great fun – served up by a band at the top of its game. The best of two legendary bands in one night? It’s almost too good to be true.
Tickets for Niamh Kavanagh and The Illegals are €25 and are available now from box office on 09066 25824 and from www.roscommonartscentre.ie
