The death has occurred of Edward James Guihen, (better known as Eddie) of 6 Carrick Court, Summerhill, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim on Wednesday, 5th July 2023, peacefully at the North West Hospice, Sligo after a short illness. Son of Elizabeth Guihen (nee Kelly) and father to Dylan and Megan and partner of Taragh. May he Rest in Peace. Remains reposing at St Patrick's Hospital Chapel, Carrick-on-Shannon, this Friday evening (7th July) from 3:30pm to 6:30pm with removal to arrive at St. Mary's Church Carrick-on-Shannon at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday (8th July) at 12 noon with burial afterwards in St Mary's Cemetery, Carrick on Shannon. Family flowers only please donations if so desired to North West Hospice, c/o M.J. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Denise, Edel and Orla, her son Brian, her brother John Pat (Kiltybarden) & sister Eilish (Ballisodare), sons-in-law Gerry, Gary & Seamus, daughter-in-law Patricia, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. The death has occurred of Hughie Smith, Ballysallagh, Ballynacargy, Co. Westmeath & Alexander Ave, Yonkers, New York following a brief illness, 2nd July 2023. Formerly of Teeboy, Corlough, Co. Cavan & Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim. Hughie will be sadly missed by his loving wife Sheila (Sheridan), his brothers & sisters Paddy (Barbara), Mary (John) Walsh, Lena Smith, Johnny Smith, Pauline (John) Hewitt and Patricia (Eugene) McCormack. His 16 nephews and nieces will miss him along with his many grand-nephews, grand-nieces, his many beloved cousins in Ireland and England and his sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law. Hughie’s passing is also deeply mourned by his many friends, neighbours, sporting and former work colleagues here and in the States. A Celebration of Hughie's life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, New York, on Friday, July 7th from 4pm until 8 pm. Funeral Mass will take place at Saint Barnabas Church located at 409 E 241st St, Bronx, New York, on Saturday, July 8th at 11:00am. Hughie will repose at Smith's Funeral Home, High St., Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim N41 TD62 this Sunday afternoon from 4.30pm until 6.00pm and on Monday at his home in Ballysallagh, Ballynacargy, Co. Westmeath N91 YV99 from 10am until 9pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday (July 11th) at 11am in the Church of the Nativity, Ballynacargy followed by burial in Sonna Cemetery. May Hughie rest in peace.

Predeceased by her husband Michael (Micksie), sister Chrissie and brothers Seamus and Sean. Sadly missed and remembered by his partner Kathy, stepson Ryan and grandson Kayden (O’Neills of Boston). Removal of remains on Saturday morning from his late residence in Uragh to St. Aidan's Church for 11 o'clock funeral Mass with burial afterwards in St. Aidan's Cemetery.
