Cllr Mary Bohan asked the Council at a recent meeting of the Manorhamilton Municipal District to carry out repairs or provide replacement footpaths in the Sheena housing estate, Drumkeerin as soon as possible.

Cllr Bohan continued that sections of the footpath were "dangerous" and that it was "unfortunate that there is not a special allocation for footpaths and lighting."

Cllr Padraig Fallon said it was "quite frustrating that there isn't a budget there" with Cathaoirleach Cllr Justin Warnock saying that in Millbrook Estate, Kinlough, "people have actually fallen on the footpath" with chairperson Cllr Felim Gurn saying that footpaths that are badly in need of repair need to identified.
