"Rust" coming taps in Drumkeeran, says councillor
Cllr Mary Bohan proposed that Leitrim County Council call on Uisce Eireann to replace the old water mains in Drumkeeran and any other areas where necessary as a matter of urgency.
"It's horrific what is coming out of the taps; it's like rust and it clogs up the filters and the washing machine," she said.
She said that she believed there "is still some of the old lead piping in the village of Drumkeeran" and said it "looks like these pipes need replacing if this stuff is coming off them."
