Solicitor Chris Callan appointed as Circuit Court Judge

Boyle solicitor Chris Callan has been nominated by the Government as a Judge of the Circuit Court.

A statement from the firm Callan Tansey said, it was delighted “our friend and colleague” Christopher Callan was recommended for appointment as a Circuit Court judge.

“It is a proud day for Christopher, Denise, his mother Rosemary and children, Matthew, Rosanna, Nicholas and Molly. His late father Tom, whom many of you knew, would have been especially proud.

“Christopher graduated with a BA (Mod Legal Science) from Trinity College Dublin in 1984 and served his apprenticeship with Binchy Fagan Fawsitt in Merrion Square Dublin.

“He started with CE Callan & Co. in 1987 and over the last 35 years has given his time, knowledge and wisdom to all of his colleagues and so many clients.

“This is not only a great achievement for Christopher personally and his family but it’s also a great day for the practice. I think it’s only right to give a special mention to Ann Filan who has worked alongside Christopher for many years.

“We wish Christopher all the very best as he embarks on this new chapter. We thank him for his invaluable contribution to Callan Tansey Solicitors LLP over the last 15 years. His calm, reflective, and collegiate approach has been of immense benefit to all of us and will undoubtedly serve him well on the bench.”
