Met Éireann is predicting unsettled weather with further spells of rain and showers over Bank Holiday Weekend

SATURDAY: Will be another day of sunny spells and showers, some heavy with a chance of thunderstorms and spot flooding. Highest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh, south to southeast winds, backing easterly later.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Lowest temperatures of 7 to 8 degrees.

SUNDAY: Cloudy and wet for most of the morning with fog lingering in places - rain will gradually clear westwards with sunny spells and showers following. Highest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees in mostly light to moderate variable winds, fresher near coasts.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Mix of clear spells and scattered showers overnight, with fog developing in many areas. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees generally in light to moderate easterly winds.

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY: Fog will clear through the morning to leave another day of sunny spells and showers, some heavy with thunderstorms and spot flooding possible. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees generally in light to moderate east to northeast winds. Further heavy showers are expected overnight, with temperatures falling to between 4 and 8 degrees. Mostly light variable breezes will allow fog to develop once again.
