The Dock is delighted to host Leitrim-based duo 'The Cat's Meow', on Wednesday, November 8, at 8pm.
Songsters and multi-instrumentalists Mairead Kelly and Eamonn Dunne, 'The Cat's Meow', have stood strong in the heart of the Leitrim music scene for many years.
Debuting their self-titled album, they will bring together a band of six talented musicians: Paul Gurney (bass), Tony 'Squeaky', Fitzpatrick (percussion), Declan Folen (fiddle) and Jessie Whitehead (guitar and backing vocals) for what will prove to be an evening of wonderful music and song.
Songwriters and artists such as John Prine, Iris DeMent, Nanci Griffiths and Allison Krauss have influenced the duo's original material, and they'll also perform their own interpretations of a selection of sublime Americana, Bluegrass, Roots and folk songs.
Their special guest will be the young up-and-coming songwriter and musician Jessie Whitehead from Sligo.
