Cllr Des Guckian
Cllr Des Guckian asked that under Active Travel, a footpath/cycleway be built to join the entrance to Cornee Lane to St Patrick’s Church, Mohill but was told by the Roads office that there is already a footpath and a crossing that links the L-34498-1 to St Patrick's Church in Mohill. He was speaking at the latest Carrick-on-Shannon MD meeting.
"The Active Travel Scheme, you assured us at the last Municipal, is ideal for creating footpaths and cycleways joining suburbs to town centres including
schools and church," he said.
District engineer, Darragh O'Boyle, said that the NTA will not invest in existing footpaths.
