€13million allocated to Leitrim’s Regional and Local Roads in 2024

Every local authority will see an increase in grants for restoration and improvement

Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan T.D., today announced an investment programme of €658 million for regional and local roads in 2024.

€13million will be allocated to Leitrim’s regional and local roads for this year. 

The breakdown of funding for Co Leitrim is:

Restoration Improvement €6,775,500
Restoration Maintenance  €926,500
Supplementary Restoration Maintenance €811,000
Discretionary Grant €1,698,000
Safety Improvement Works €275,000
Bridge Rehabilitation €538,000
Specific Improvement Grant €830,000
PSCI: Survey Support €16,000
Training Grant €47,500
Drainage Works €410,000
Former National Roads €200,000
Speed Limits (Housing Area Signage) €3,400
Speed Limits (Rural Speed Limit Signage) €6,000
Climate Change Adaptation & Resilience Works €345,000
Community Involvement Scheme €307,350

Total Allocation €13,189,250
