Mary Coughlan and Ultan Conlon is set to be at Backstage stage on March 14
The incomparable Mary Coughlan teams up with celebrated singer-songwriter Ultan Conlon for an evening of songs and stories in a special recording of their podcast ‘A Close Encounter with Mary Coughlan & Ultan Conlon’ on March 14 at the Backstage Theatre.
This unique combination of two of Ireland’s most charismatic characters and music masters is sure to absorb an audience like no other.
Mary is Ireland’s greatest jazz and blues singer and “one of our most openly raw performers,” according to the Hotpress. Ultan is one of Ireland’s acclaimed singer-songwriters, delivering performances that have been described as a “rare treat filled with original music, beguiling backstories and loud laughter which make for a wonderful, uplifting evening.”
In a career fast approaching its 40th year, Mary is about to enter its next exciting stage and is delighted to explore this stage with Ultan, launching a new podcast, “You’re not listening”, and “A Close Encounter with Mary Coughlan & Ultan Conlon.”
It promises to be a captivating evening of personal anecdotes and unforgettable music from two of the country’s finest performers.
