With last year's announcement of an investment of €10 million in the expansion and enhancement of its vehicle sharing services across Ireland, GoCar, Ireland’s leading vehicle sharing service are delighted to be further growing the service to users in Leitrim in the latest nationwide expansion.
The investment is part of GoCar’s commitment to provide sustainable and convenient mobility solutions to meet growing customer demand for alternative transport options to private vehicle ownership.
As part of the expansion, GoCar earlier this year launched its first vehicles in Carrick-on-Shannon and after huge demand and interest are now growing further in partnership with Leitrim County Council with the introduction of an all-electric option located in the town centre.
Users can simply download the GoCar app and book a car from the location that best suits them.
Joe Quirke, Head of GoCar in Ireland commented, “We’re hugely excited to expand GoCar further into Leitrim and to roll out one of our new GoExplore Plus Electric cars in Carrick-on-Shannon.
“This will be our second location in Leitrim and we are hoping to grow this number even more in the coming months.
“With more flexibility, and lower costs, more people are making the switch to pay as you go driving and we’re delighted to bring those benefits to Carrick-on-Shannon with the help of Leitrim County Council,” he said.
