James Doyle, also known as 'Protein Bor' has recently appeared on the Six O'Clock show where he discussed his struggles with body confidence.

The Drumod TikTok star rose to social media fame over the pandemic mostly for his strong Westmeath accent but also his gym advice and fitness content.

James said: "I started my TikTok two years ago and it came from a place where I was very uncomfortable in my body growing up and I always had a lot of issues with perceiving myself in a good light. I started the gym in 2021 and I said look it will give me a goal to work towards when all my mates had their own passions in their hobbies or sports and I didn't really have anything and I felt kinda lost so I said I would give myself a goal and go to the gym.

"At the same time I would start to gain more confidence in myself as the main thing dragging me down was my body and I really put my foot down for a year. Within that year, I made a really good transformation and I am not going to claim I am Mother Teresa but opening up about these things as there is a lot of lads who feel the same. If I can have a voice in that it is better than just sitting aside and trying to cope with it myself. It is very important to show you are not alone in that fight. "

Many users have commented under the above Instagram post, one user said: "Very inspiring young man. Schools should be getting him to do talks to their students."

Another user said: "Lovely honest and open young man. I hope he goes far! He’s an inspiration! "
