The Glens Centre will host pipers from around Ireland this weekend (11th-12th) for two days of traditional music

This weekend, the Glens Art Centre in Leitrim will host a weekend of traditional pipe music, special events, masterclasses and workshops.

Pipers from around Ireland will descend on Manorhamilton with performances from Leonard Barry, Brian McNamara, Mick O’Brien, and Padraig McGovern, along with surprise special guests.

Terry McDonagh and Emer Mayock will open the weekend with their musical adaptation of Terry’s poem 'The Piper of Treenabontry'. 

There will also be workshops on piping and pipe maintenance delivered by Pádraig McGovern, Brian McNamara, Emer Mayock, and Mick O'Brien. Along with a youth piping session on Saturday evening.
