This Sunday, the Hawk’s well theatre in Sligo will host Ireland’s first ‘change your mind’ festival from 11am

Sligo-Leitrim services run Ireland’s first free ‘change your mind’ festival this weekend

Change your mind festival is a free event, run by Sligo-Leitrim mental health services and Connecting for Life, Irelands national suicide reduction strategy, aimed at destigmatize the topic of mental health by sparking conversations and empowering people to share their stories.

The festival will host special guests who share their experiences with mental health issues, like former Rugby player and motivational speaker Brent Pope, and Louise Carton, one of Ireland’s top mental health advocates.

There will be events throughout the day, including panels on specific aspects of mental health, like Women's mental health and the travelling community's struggle dealing with stigma.

Podcasters and comedians 'Lockstock and 2JokingAddicts' will also perform with special guests on the day.

The event also offers entertainment for children along with wellness and mindfulness activities like Yoga, Zumba, and Dance.
