Tullynamoyle Wind Farm 5 Ltd. has submitted fresh plans to Leitrim County Council, aiming to make key changes to its previously approved wind farm expansion in Tullinloughan, Lackagh, Tullynamoyle, and Gowlaun.

The new application (File Number: 2460223) proposes modifications to a 10-year development plan that was originally approved under An Bord Pleanála Reference PL12.312895. The revised plan calls for slight increases in turbine height—from 155 to 156.5 meters—and expands the rotor diameter from 126 to 138 meters to enhance efficiency.

In addition, the application requests minor relocations of two turbines: Turbine 16 would move approximately 10 meters south, while Turbine 22 would shift 12 meters north. The plan also includes realignment of the access road near Turbine 17 and installing a new cable connecting Turbine 22 to the Tullynamoyle Substation.

To ensure environmental compliance, the application includes a Natura Impact Statement (NIS). A design flexibility opinion issued by Leitrim County Council in August 2024 supports the plan’s turbine dimensions and flexibility.

The council is set to decide on the proposal by January 3, 2025, with public submissions open until December 4, 2024.
