Met Eireann has issued a status yellow wind warning in Leitrim from 3 am Saturday until 6 pm Sunday.
The warning is also in place in Clare, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, and Donegal with the Met Éireann warning that strong and gusty gale-force winds with large coastal waves will be sustained.
It has also told the public to expect difficult travelling conditions and urges people to stay back and safe.
