Bressie brings show "Where Is My Mind?" to Leitrim for an unforgettable night

Leitrim's Health is Wealth is thrilled to present an extraordinary evening with the renowned musician and mental health advocate, Bressie. On May 3, 2025, at 8:00 PM, Bressie will bring his powerful show "Where Is My Mind?" to the Landmark Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon. This special night will combine his captivating music with thought-provoking discussions on mental health, all in the name of raising awareness and breaking down stigmas.

For those unfamiliar with Bressie, his journey began in Mullingar, where he excelled in Gaelic football before transitioning to professional rugby with Leinster. However, it was after leaving the pitch that Bressie discovered his true passion: music. As the lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter for The Blizzards, and later as a solo artist, he found a new platform to express his creativity and connect with audiences.

In 2015, Niall's memoir Me and My Mate Jeffrey made a huge impact. Through candid storytelling, he personified his anxiety disorder as "Jeffrey," providing readers with both a relatable narrative and practical advice for navigating mental health struggles. The book resonated with many, earning him the prestigious Irish Book Award for Popular Non-Fiction.

Since then, Niall has continued to lead essential conversations about mental health. His podcasts, Where Is My Mind? and Wake Up/Wind Down, have become valuable resources, blending mindfulness, meditation, and everyday insights to help listeners better understand their mental well-being.

On May 3rd, Niall will be joined by special guests Charlie McGettigan, former Eurovision winner, and Dr. Catherine Dolan, Consultant Psychiatrist with Sligo Leitrim Mental Health Services. Together, they will provide an unforgettable evening of music, open discussion, and meaningful reflection.

Leitrim’s Health is Wealth, founded by Hubert McHugh and Valerie Cogan in 2017, aims to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage people to seek help when they need it. This year’s event is made possible with the support of Olwyn O’Toole and Leitrim County Council, and as part of their mission, tickets will be available for free to ensure accessibility for all.

With the first-ever performance of its kind in Carrick-on-Shannon, this is an event you won’t want to miss. Tickets are available now at www.leitrim.ie and at the Landmark Hotel reception.

Join us on May 3rd for a powerful night of music, conversation, and connection, as we come together to promote the message that health is wealth, and mental health matters.
