A Leitrim-based business is proof that Google’s ‘You’re the Business’ competition can be a game-changer. Now in its third year, the initiative is once again calling on Irish businesses to take part, offering the chance to win digital training, expert mentorship, and a cutting-edge AI-powered advertising campaign.
Launched in partnership with Enterprise Ireland (EI) and the Local Enterprise Offices (LEO), the program aims to help businesses enhance their online presence. The competition is open to companies at any stage of their digital journey, from beginners to those already leveraging technology for growth.
Leitrim-based Pathfinders Custom Conversions was one of last year’s winners. The business, which specializes in bespoke vehicle conversions, credits the program with helping them level up their digital skills.
“You're the Business was invaluable in helping us to upskill digitally,” said Breffni Kearns of Pathfinders. “It was also an amazing networking opportunity, allowing us to meet fellow founders from across the country and to learn from their experiences. I would highly recommend the experience.”
This year, the competition has an even greater focus on AI. Selected winners will receive a one-year subscription to Google Workspace Business Standard, including access to AI-powered tools like Gemini Advanced and NotebookLM. The standout business will also win a bespoke AI-powered advertising campaign created by Google’s AI experts.
“We know that AI has the power to revolutionize the way we do business,” said Cera Ward, Managing Director at Google Ireland. “That’s why we’ve made it a key focus of this year’s initiative. We want to support Irish businesses as they take the next steps in their digital journey.”
Entries are open until March 21, 2025. Businesses must submit a 200-word entry explaining how they have used digital skills to grow, uploaded as a PDF on the You're the Business website. More details can be found at g.co/yourethebusiness.
