Leitrim Development Company is set to unveil its new board game, Letter Lingo, designed to improve English language skills in an engaging and enjoyable way.
The game, suitable for learners of all ages and abilities, will be officially launched at the Irish Wheelchair Association Centre in Carrick-on-Shannon on Tuesday from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Developed as part of the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP), Letter Lingo is tailored for both native and non-native English speakers, focusing on helping individuals enhance their vocabulary, concentration, and social skills.
The game is ideal for use in schools, voluntary groups, and organizations working with new arrivals to the community, offering a creative and interactive environment for language development.
During the launch event, attendees will have the chance to try out the game, participate in a Q&A session, and enjoy light refreshments. Voluntary groups working with new arrivals will also receive copies of Letter Lingo free of charge.
“We are excited to bring Letter Lingo to the community, and we believe it will be a valuable tool for anyone looking to improve their English language skills in a social and enjoyable way,” said Bernie Donoghue, Social Inclusion Manager at Leitrim Development Company.
