“I want to explore how the wild world can realign us with nature’s rhythms,” says Leitrim-based garden designer and bestselling author Leonie Cornelius, who will take center stage at Bord Bia Bloom 2025. Celebrating the power of nature and wellness, Cornelius will host a series of daily talks titled Gardening for Wild + Well, sponsored by wellness brand Zarbee’s®.
This June Bank Holiday Weekend, Cornelius, known for her award-winning garden designs, returns to the Garden Stage at Ireland’s largest gardening event, where she’ll share her vision of integrating wild, natural spaces into daily life. Framed by her signature hive-design planters, filled with pollinator-friendly plants, the Garden Stage will buzz with the energy of nature and insightful conversation.
Cornelius, who won Gold and Best in Category for her Óir garden at Bloom 2024, believes deeply in the power of nature to heal and restore balance. "We need to slow down and embrace nature’s cycles of patience and resilience," she explains. "At a time when many feel burnt out, I want to inspire people to reconnect with themselves and the world around them."
The talks will explore themes of self-care and kindness to the environment, encouraging visitors to find true connection through nature. With a background in garden design and interior architecture, Cornelius has built a career around creating spaces that nourish both the body and soul.
In addition to Cornelius, the Garden Stage will feature gardening icons such as Diarmuid Gavin and Adam Frost of BBC Gardeners’ World. Visitors can enjoy a total of 40 talks and panel discussions over the five days, all aimed at celebrating the natural world and well-being.
Zarbee’s® will also offer visitors the chance to pick up a Wild+Well booklet and meet the team behind the brand, which is known for its honey-based wellness products designed to support immune health and soothe sore throats.
Bord Bia Bloom 2025 will take place from May 29th to June 2nd. For tickets and more information, visit www.bordbiabloom.com.
