The search for missing Mohill man David O’Callaghan has ended in tragedy, with Gardaí confirming the discovery of a body in Co Roscommon earlier today, Wednesday, August 13th.
David, 21, had been missing since Saturday, August 9th. He was last seen in Boyle, Co Roscommon, at around 5pm that evening. Extensive searches in recent days involved Gardaí, family members, volunteers, and drone support.
In a statement this afternoon, An Garda Síochána confirmed that the missing person appeal has now been stood down.

“No further action is required,” the statement said. “An Garda Síochána wishes to thank the public and media for their assistance during the course of this appeal.”
No further details have been released.
