Carrick-on-Shannon District Court.
Strict bail conditions were imposed on Fionn Moore (23) of 8 Bruach na Feorise, Geevagh, Co Sligo, when he appeared before Carrick-on-Shannon District Court on December 16, 2025, charged with a series of serious offences. Mr Moore is facing charges including two counts of drug possession, possession of drugs in connection with firearms and ammunition, possession of explosives, possession of fireworks, and money laundering.
In setting out the conditions of bail, Judge Éiteáin Cunningham carefully outlined the obligations attached to release and examined the proposed surety in detail. The court ordered that Mr Moore enter an own bond of €1,000, with the full amount to be lodged, and provide an independent surety in the sum of €1,000, with no cash required to be lodged by the surety.
Judge Cunningham further directed that Mr Moore must sign on at Ballymote Garda Station three times a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, between the hours of 9am and 9pm.
The judge also ordered that Mr Moore must remain of sober habits while on bail and be available at all times, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by mobile phone. The court was told the phone must be kept switched on and in credit so that gardaí could contact him if required.
During the hearing, Mr Moore’s mother took the stand as the proposed surety, where she was questioned by the judge about her understanding of the obligations involved. Judge Cunningham explained that she would be required to maintain a minimum balance of €1,000 in her bank account for the duration of the bail period and warned that the money could be forfeited if her son breached any bail conditions. Judge Cunningham stressed that the bail conditions were being imposed to ensure Mr Moore’s continued attendance before the court and compliance with the law while the matter remains ongoing. The case was adjourned to a later date for further proceedings.
