Fenagh Drama Troupe are back in full swing this year with a brand-new production, “Don’t Dress for Dinner”, a classic French farce packed with mistaken identities, rapid-fire dialogue and unexpected twists.

Described as a boulevard comedy with witty one-liners, funny sight gags and a touch of slapstick, the play quickly simmers into chaos as secrets unravel during a dinner in a French country house. Written by playwright Marc Camoletti, the story blends unusual situations, comic confusion and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments as the characters’ plans go wildly off course.

The play was a smash hit in Paris, where it ran for over two years, and later enjoyed a six-year run in London at the Apollo and Duchess Theatres. It has since been staged across the USA and the English-speaking world, and was revived in Chicago and on Broadway at the American Airlines Theatre in 2012, earning two Tony Award nominations.

Fenagh Drama Troupe’s performances begin on Thursday, February 5th at 8pm, and continue on Friday 6th, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th in Fenagh Community Centre. Doors open at 7pm, and early arrival is recommended to secure a seat.
