There will also be music on the night from Kila’s Dee Armstrong and Friends.

The talk is described as an opportunity to discuss becoming good ancestors and to begin planning a transition away from systems that continue to harm our Mother Earth.

The book itself focuses on the state of the planet and the destruction of the environment brought on by human activity and poses the question of how humans become good caretakers of the world that will be left to future generations.

“What I would say is that AI is an extractive industry, and that we have to be we're heading in a direction now where we're going after more and more energy to advance all of these minerals like copper, and in order to meet the requirements of AI. “

“So we're no longer developing minerals, and we're no longer trying to create renewables, fossil fuels. We're actually developing them now to try and meet the demand for AI. And that's just going to exhaust everything.”
