Young Leitrim Artists take centre stage at Solas

Solas Art Gallery is kicking off 2026 with its 18th Junior Exhibition, celebrating the creativity of almost 300 young artists from schools across County Leitrim.

The exhibition shines a spotlight on young voices, imagination and self-expression, showcasing the talent and stories of Leitrim’s next generation of creatives. It is a lively celebration of community, collaboration and the power of giving young people a platform to be seen and heard.

The official opening takes place on Saturday, February 7 at 4pm at the Island Theatre, Ballinamore, and promises a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.

The opening will be led by local edu-trainer Mr Math Weeney (Seán McWeeney), known for bringing creativity, movement and joy into maths education, as well as founding the popular North West STEM Fest.

Light refreshments will be served, and the exhibition will run until Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
