Leitrim’s Barry McNulty is nominated for player of the week following his inspired performance in Leitrim’s comeback against London on Sunday evening.

The Glencar Manorhamilton man marked his return from injury in style by hitting 6 two pointers after coming on at half time as Letrim overturned a 12-point deficit to gain victory at McGovern Park in London.

The 20-year-old talisman has again received national notice for his performance, being named in midfield on the team of the week alongside Roscommons Enda Smith.

He has also received praise from pundits, including RTE’s Des Cathal who took to X, formerly Twitter to say: “INCREDIBLE! Barry McNulty of #Leitrim, back from injury, came off the bench and scored SIX two-pointers as Leitrim came from 10 points down to beat London. He’s a serious player!”

Votes for player of the week can be cast on the reels on the GAA’s Instagram account.
