What are your plans this weekend? Here we provide a quick snapshot of events taking place around the county.
Theatre: Mamó - A Story of Geraldine Plunkett Dillon written and performed by Isolde ÓBrolcháin Carmody will perform in The Glens Centre tonight at 8.30pm. This unique play will be screened on film, followed by a live Q&A with the writer/actor Isolde ÓBrolcháin Carmody at 8:30pm. Dance: An Old Tyme Dance in the Rainbow Ballroom, Glenfarne at 9pm, with music by Lakeland Showband.
Table quiz: Mohill GAA are hosting ‘Battle of wits’ Table Quiz in Casey’s Bar, Mohill at 9pm.
Social dance: Social dancing in Duignan’s Lounge, Drumsna with music by Frank Nelson.
Talk: Ballinamore Library in association with the Digges Beekeepers Association present ‘The Brehon Laws’ by Jim Ryan in Ballinamore Library at 8pm.
Gospel: Manorhamilton’s monthly Gospel Praise Evening take place in the Bee Park Community Centre at 8pm.
Festival Presentations: Presentation of cheques from Drumkeerin Festival proceeds in the Cosy Corner Drumkeerin tonight - music by Francie Smith.
Church Bicentennial: Church of Ireland in Drumlease marks 200 years with a special thanksgiving service.
Cake sale: Cake sale and raffle to support Cathriona Tighe in the Cannon Donohoe Hall Mohill from 11am - 2pm.
Tractor Run: Darren McGlynn memorial tractor Run in aid of Pieta House West and Co Longford Scuba Divers from Rooskey at 12 noon. For more details call Padraig 0863922965.
Annual Harvest and Apple Day: Rossinver Organic Centre’s annual Harvest and Apple Fest is on from 12-5pm. No entrance fee but some workshops will be €2.
5k Fun Walk/ Run: St Mary’s 5k Fun Walk/ Run starts at 1.30pm from the Club House, Carrick-on-Shannon.
Fun Run: Annaduff Parents Association host their sixth annual Fun run from Annaduff NS. Registration at 2.30pm.
Charity: An afternoon tea charity event in aid of the Irish Kidney Association takes place at 3pm in the Lough Allen Hotel, Drumshanbo. Tickets €20 available at the door.
