History of Mohill GAA to be celebrated in new book

History of Mohill GAA to be celebrated in new book

Arguably Leitrim's greatest ever footballer Pakie McGarty is pictured with Danny Beck and the Fenagh Cup after Mohill's victory in last year's Senior Championship.

Over the past few years a number of Mohill GAA Club members have researched and compiled the history of the Club since its formation in 1889.

The book is now almost ready to go to print. The initial cost of printing is enormous so the club are turning to their faithful supporters seeking sponsorship.

The result will be a wonderful story of the club's forefathers who will remain forever young and a public record for the further generations.

The book, which will contain in the region of 350 pages, will be launched in Lough Rynn Castle Hotel on December 10.

Pages in the book can be sponsored for a minimum of €50, but all donations will be appreciated and recorded. For further information please contact either of the joint editors, Des Keegan or Maureen Lynch.
