Recent deaths in the Leitrim area - update

The following deaths have occurred locally.

John McGee, Bonahill, Ballyshannon, Co Donegal

John McGee, Bonahill, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal, 30th October 2016. Beloved husband of Marion and dearly loved father of Siobhan (Emmet), Ruairi (Helena), Nicola (John), Irene (Conor), Julie (Steve) and Michelle. Reposing at the family home on Thursday from 10am until 9pm. Private to family at all other times, with removal on Friday morning at to St Patrick's Church, Belleek for 11am Requiem Mass followed by interment in Magheramena New Cemetery. Very deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife son, daughters, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, brothers Francis, & Micheal, sisters Catherine, Bridget, Mary, Agnes and Anne, relatives, and entire family circle. Family flowers only. Donations, if so desired, to Niall Mellon Trust c/o Patsy McCauley Funeral Director or any family member. House private to family on Friday morning.

Michael Devine, Finglas, Co Dublin / Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim

Formerly of Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim. Peacefully at The Mater Hospital after a long illness on Monday, October 31. Michael, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Sadly missed by his loving family, relatives and friends. Funeral will take place privately.


Hugh O'Reilly, Coolkill, Kilnaleck, Co Cavan / Bawnboy, Co Cavan

Hugh O'Reilly, Coolkill, Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan and formerly of Drumlougher, Bawnboy. Monday 31st October 2016. Deeply regretted by his loving family, son Raymond, daughter Frances, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, brothers; Jim, Sonny, Tom, Ollie and Kevin, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Reposing at Briody's Funeral Home, Kilnaleck on Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm followed by Removal to St. Mary's Church, Crosserlough arriving at 8pm Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am. Interment afterwards in Lower Drumreilly Cemetery, Garadice, Co. Leitrim.


Michael (Mike) McDonagh, Dromod,  Co Leitrim / Loughrea, Co Galway

Michael (Mike) McDonagh, Dromod, Co. Leitrim and formerly from Loughrea, Co. Galway, New York and New Jersey U.S.A. October 31st peacefully at the North West Hospice, Sligo. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Tiernan, Cornagher, Cloone), deeply regretted by his loving wife, brothers, sisters, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at his home in Dromod on Wednesday from 4pm until 6pm. House private to family at all other times. Removal Wednesday to St. Mary’s Church, Annaduff arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass Thursday at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers please. Donations, if desired, to North West Hospice, Sligo c/o McGowan, Funeral Directors, Dromod. Donation box in Church.
