Recent deaths in the Leitrim area

The following deaths have occurred in the Leitrim area:

Gordon Gurney, Grange, Co Sligo and Kiltyclogher, Co Leitrim

The death has occurred of Gordon Gurney, Cloystara, Moneygold, Grange, Co Sligo and formerly of Kiltyclogher, Co Leitrim. Peacefully at Sligo University Hospital. Reposing at Our Lady's Hospital Chapel, Manorhamilton on this morning Wednesday  November 16  from 11am to 12.30pm followed by removal to St Patrick's Church, Kiltyclogher for Funeral Mass at 1pm. Burial afterwards to adjoining cemetery.

Mary Grogan (née Fay), Killylea, Belturbet, Co Cavan

Mary Grogan (née Fay) wife of the late John, Killylea, Belturbet, Co Cavan, November 14, 2016, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Deeply regretted by her sons Seamie, Sean, Francie, Kevin, Patsy, Philip and Martin, daughters Marie (Corby, Newtowngore) and Margaret (Mallanaphy, Kinawley), daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Removal this morning Wednesday 16th at 11.30am to arrive at the Church of Immaculate Conception, Belturbet for 12 noon Funeral Mass with Burial afterwards in Drumalee Cemetery.

Leonard Egan, Castleplunket/ Boyle, Co Roscommon

Leonard Egan, Mullygallon, Castleplunkett, Castlerea and formerly of Boyle, Co Roscommon died on Sunday, November 13 at the residence of his son Frank. Leonard will repose at the home of his son Frank Egan, Knockroe, Boyle today, this evening Wednesday  November 16, at Flanagans Funeral Home, Castleplunkett from 5pm with removal at 7pm to St Paul's Church, Kilmurray. Funeral Mass on Thursday, November 17, at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Toberelva Cemetery.

Michael (Mick) Torsney, Derrybrisk, Dromahair, Co Leitrim

Michael Torsney died peacefully at St. Phelim's Nursing Home, Dromahair. Funeral Mass today Wednesday 16th at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Carrowcrin Cemetery. House private please. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to St. Phelim's Patient Comfort Fund.

Sheila Candon (nee Smith), Greatmeadow, Boyle, Co Roscommon

Sheila Candon died peacefully, at the Plunkett Home, Boyle. Sadly missed by her husband Martin, daughters Phil, Maura, Sheila and Rose, sons Coman and Martin, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Nellie, Dympna and Nuala, brother-in-law Finbar, sisters-in-law Annie, Bridie, Stacia, and Rosemary, extended family and friends.Funeral arrangements later.
