Recent deaths in the Leitrim area

The following deaths have occurred in the Leitrim area:

Terence Cullen (Odie), Dristernan, Drumshanbo, Leitrim

Terence Cullen (Odie), Dristernan, Drumshanbo, Leitrim (formerly Gubberudda, Arigna) peacefully at his home, surrounded by his devoted family and in the tender care of the Palliative Care Team. Predeceased by his parents Johnny and Mary, brother John and infant sister Elizabeth-Ann. Sadly missed by his loving partner Marian, daughters Lorna and her husband John Mc Padden, Edel and her partner Mark and by their mother Mary, granddaughters Erin and Maeve, brothers Pat, Eugene and Peter, sisters Mary, Kathleen, Margaret and Attracta, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, his many cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Shivnan’s Funeral Home, Ballyfarnon on Tuesday evening from 5.00 o’clock until 9.00 o’clock. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church, Drumshanbo on Wednesday at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in Kilronan Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Palliative Care Team, Sligo. House private please.

Patrick (Packie) Reynolds, Corrawallen, Carrigallen, Leitrim / Bornacoola, Leitrim / Longford

Patrick (Packie) Reynolds Corrawallen, Carrigallen, Co Leitrim and formerly from Clooneen, Bornacoola, ex Longford County Council, November 20th 2016 at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, predeceased by his parents Mary and Thomas and siblings Seamus, John Tom, Michael, Mary and baby Luke. Deeply regretted by his special friend Patricia Sexton, brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Funeral arrangments later Family flowers please, donations if desired to Coronary Care unit Beaumont Hospital co McGowan, Funeral Directors, Dromod. Donation box in Church.

Liam Hunt, Cloonfree, Strokestown, Co Roscommon

Liam Hunt died peacefully at the County Hospital Roscommon. Reposing at McHugh's Funeral Home, Strokestown, on Monday 21st from 6pm followed by removal at 8pm to the Parish Church. Funeral Mass on Tuesday 22nd at 11am burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Elizabeth (Lil) Sheridan (neé Rudden), Creeny, Milltown, Belturbet, Co Cavan

The death has occurred of Elizabeth “Lil” Sheridan (nee Rudden) peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, 20th November. Reposing at her residence tomorrow, Monday, from 10am to 4pm. House Private at all other times please. Her remains will leave her residence at 6.30pm on Monday to arrive at St. Patrick's Church, Milltown, for 7pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 1pm with burial afterwards in Drumlane Cemetery.

Emily Prior (née Baxter), Callowhill, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim

Emily Prior, mother of Liam Prior, Callowhill and Mary Flynn, Cootehall. Reposing at her residence from 6pm on Sunday, 20th November. Removal on Monday, arriving at St.Mary's Church, Aughnasheelin at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary Seagrave (née Greene) Staghall, Belturbet, Cavan

The death has occurred of Mary Seagrave, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, 20th November. Predeceased by her husband John Percy and daughter Thérése. Deeply regretted by her loving family, daughters Lily (Rutledge), Marie (Fahy) and Alice (Groarke), sons Gerard, Percy, Paul and Brian, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Remains will be reposing at the home of her son Brian, Ballynamannon today, Monday, from 2pm to 6pm. House Private at all other times please. Her remains will arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Staghall, for 8pm on Monday evening. Funeral Mass at 11am on Tuesday, with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
