Leitrim shop gets a bill for €267,498 from Irish Water

The owners of clothes shop Sherbet in Carrick-on-Shannon could be forgiven for thinking someone had re-routed the River Shannon through its pipes when they opened a bill from Irish Water this week.
The quarterly bill was for a staggering €267,498.49.
When Irish Water was contacted by the shop owner, all they could do was laugh!
