The following deaths have taken place in Leitrim and surrounding areas:

John P. McKiernan, Mohill, Co. Leitrim

John P. McKiernan, 27 Treanmore, Mohill, Co. Leitrim, on Friday, 18th May, 2018. Peacefully in the loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff of Ballinamore Community Nursing Unit. Sadly missed by his sisters Rosie and Annie, brother Joe, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Rest In Peace. Reposing at St. Patrick's Hospital, Carrick-on-Shannon on Sunday, 20th May, from 5pm to 7pm removal to St Patrick's Church, Mohill on Monday morning for Funeral Mass at 11am burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Paudge Jones, Tullaghan, Co. Leitrim

Paudge Jones, Corbeg, Tullaghan, Co. Leitrim. Unexpectedly at his home. Reposing at McGloin's Funeral Home, Chapel Rd., Cliffoney this Sunday evening, May 20th, from 6pm until 8pm. Removal on Monday morning to arrive at St. Patrick's Church, Tullaghan for 11am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the Old Cemetery, Kinlough.

Deirdre MacHale, Boyle, Co. Roscommon

The death has occurred of Deirdre MacHale, Glenoaks House, Curliew View, Boyle, Co. Roscommon and formerly Abbey Heights, Boyle on Saturday, 19th of May 2018. Peacefully in the presence of her loving family in Sligo University Hospital. Beloved and deeply regretted by her father and mother Michael and Bridie, brother John and his wife Caroline, sister Maria and her partner Dave and brother Michael and his wife Vicky, her adored nieces Kate, Abby and Jessica, relatives and a large circle of friends.
Deirdre's remains will be reposing at Glenoaks House from 4pm to 8pm on Monday, 21st of May, arriving to St Joseph's Church, Boyle on Tuesday, 22nd of May, for Funeral Mass at 11am with burial afterwards to Assylinn Cemetery, Boyle. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Brothers of Charity, Roscommon, Care of Higgins and Sons Funeral Directors, Boyle and Ballinameen or any family member. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the team of the Brothers of Charity and the staff of Sligo University Hospital for the care, support and kindness shown towards Deirdre.

Vincent Rock, Ardsallaghmore, Roscommon Town and late of Ballinameen, Boyle, Co. Roscommon on Thursday, 17th May, 2018. Son of the late Benny and Bridget Rock. Deeply regretted by his partner Una, sister Imelda, brother-in-law Malachy, nieces, aunt, uncle, aunt-in-law, relations and friends. Rest in Peace. Reposing at his home on Sunday (20th May) from 4pm to 7pm. House private at all other times. Removal on Monday morning (21st May) to the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon to arrive at 11.15am for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in St. Coman's Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Patient Comfort Fund, Roscommon University Hospital.

Imelda Qualter (née Maughan), Church Street - Green Street, Boyle, Co. Roscommon. Suddenly at her residence on Thursday, 17th May, 2018. Sadly missed by her husband Patrick, sons Noel and James, brother Frank, sister Olive, relatives and friends. Reposing at her residence on Sunday from 2 o’clock until 6 ’clock with removal arriving at St. Joseph’s Church, Boyle at 7 o’clock. Mass of the Resurrection on Monday morning at 11 o’clock with funeral afterwards to Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan

Paddy Mannion, London / Strokestown, Co. Roscommon

Patrick (Paddy) Mannion, 176 Wood End Gardens, Northholt, Middlesex, London UB54QW and formerly of Bridge Street, Strokestown, Co. Roscommon on Monday, 7th May, 2018. Paddy will be sadly missed by his wife Breege, son Emmet, daughter Ailish, son-in-law Liam, grandchildren Keegan and Kaiden, relatives and his many friends. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Gabriel's Church, South Harrow on Thursday, 24th May, at 1pm followed by Cremation at Breakspear Crematorium at 2.30pm.
