New museum for Bundoran

Magh Ene Historical Society in conjunction with Ballyshannon & District Museum are pleased to announce the opening of a new Museum in the Bundoran Community Centre, Main Street, Bundoran on June 22.

The joint committee's are putting out a call for local people to kindly donate artifacts, pictures or any memorabilia that they may wish to have on display in the museum. Local topics to be covered in the new museum include the Railways, the Showband and Country & Western scene, Political History, Surfing, Culture & Heritage, Sport and Amusements. The committee are also appealing for any display units that may be available for donation. All donations will be accepted on a loan basis. 


The joint committees are pleased with progress so far and with the strong support of the Bundoran Community Centre have targeted June 22 as an opening date. They are now requesting that locals support the effort to enhance the visitors “Bundoran Experience” and are confident that the generosity of Bundoran people will ensure an exciting, varied and memorable visit to the museum and town. 


Entry to the Museum will be free. 
The Museum will open Monday to Friday during business hours.
