At its’ latest Community Forum in Ballymahon yesterday evening, Center Parcs announced that it will host two public recruitment information days for prospective employees on Friday and Saturday, October 12 & 13 in Longford Rugby Club.

Center Parcs is starting to recruit for the 1,000 permanent roles that will be required to power the much anticipated Center Parcs Longford Forest premium short stay resort when it opens in Summer 2019.

The events will take place from 10am – 7pm on Friday, October 12th and from 10am – 4pm on Saturday, October 13 and provide prospective employees the opportunity to meet with current Center Parcs employees and find out first hand what is required to become a Center Parcs employee.

A 30-strong Center Parcs team comprising of existing UK staff, the growing Center Parcs Ireland team and Center Parcs UK senior management will attend on both days.  The team of employees will represent all segments of the business including; leisure, retail, catering, technical services and much more. They will be on hand to talk to prospective candidates and bring to life what it’s like to work at Center Parcs.

Candidates are advised that CV’s can be submitted online to the Center Parcs’ careers portal at centerparcscareers.ie as these information days are not designed for accepting applications.  The focus is on outlining what roles and opportunities exist at Center Parcs Ireland and what qualities, skills and experience is desirable amongst potential candidates.

Commenting ahead of the Recruitment Open days, Daragh Feighery, General Manager of Center Parcs Longford Forest, said, "These events mark yet another key milestone for Center Parcs in Ireland.

"We’re very excited about hosting these recruitment information days to outline our employment plans and the 1,000 careers on offer at Center Parcs Longford Forest ahead of opening next year.  Most of our employees live locally so we are expecting great interest in the roles.  There is no need for people to bring CVs on the day as all future news and applications for employment will be available at www.centerparcscareers.ie.”

Center Parcs Longford Forest is due to open in Summer 2019.  Once operational, the forest holiday village will have capacity for up to 2,500 guests. Center Parcs estimates that the new holiday village will add approximately €32 million to Irish GDP per annum, having a transformative impact on Co. Longford and the surrounding midlands region.
