The following deaths have taken place in Leitrim and surrounding areas:

Laurence (Larry) Lee, The Oaks, Woodtown Lodge, Sligo Town, Sligo / Manorhamilton, Leitrim

The Oaks, Woodtown Lodge, Sligo and formerly of Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim, October 18, peacefully, surrounded by his family and in the loving care of the staff at Nazareth Nursing Home, Sligo. Dearly loved husband of Frances, father of Una, Marcella and Loretta and brother of Philomena Dolan, Benna Doherty, Lily Dolan and the late Maryjo Fowley and Teresa Gallagher. Sadly missed by his loving wife and family, sisters, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, sons-in-law Eric, Hugh and Rory, grandchildren Gemma, Sophia, Aimee and James, nephews nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Feehily’s Funeral Home, Cartron Cross, Sligo, from 5pm today, Friday. Removal at 6.30pm to St. Anne’s Church, Sligo. Mass of the Resurrection at 12.30pm on Saturday, October 20. Burial follows in Sligo Cemetery. Home private, please.

Peter McGloin, Ahamlish, Glenade, Leitrim

Peacefully at St Phelim’s Nursing Home, Dromahair. Removal this morning, Friday, to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Glenade for 11am Funeral Mass followed by burial in Conwell Cemetery.

Bernadette Doonan, Edergole, Cloone, Leitrim

The death has occurred of Bernadette Doonan, Edergole, Cloone, Co. Leitrim, Tuesday 16th October, 2018 peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Pre-deceased by her parents Frank and Cathleen, her brothers; John Francis, Joe, Brian, Gerald Christopher, Jim and Vincent, her sisters; Brigid Francis, Maggie, Mary Theresa, Philomena, Mary Clare, Carmel and Trudy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her heartbroken son; Micheal, her brothers; Des (USA), Kevin (USA) and Declan ( Cloone), her sisters; Maggie Bulger ( USA), Fidelma (USA), Josephine ( Limerick) and Dympna Reilly (Mohill), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Mass this morning, Friday at 11.00am followed by burial immediately afterwards to Mohill Old Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired to The Irish Cancer Society c/o McKeon's Funeral Directors, Cloone, Co. Leitrim.

Frank Barry, 89 Old Coach Road, Killesher, Fermanagh / Swanlinbar, Cavan

Peacefully at South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen. Father of the late Michael and Maureen. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Peggy, son John and his wife Noelle, daughter Rachael and her husband David and grandson Luke.

Requiem Mass this morning, Friday at 11am with burial in Killaduff Cemetery.

Hugh (Hubie) McAuley, Tullynamaltra, Corlough, Cavan

Surrounded by his family in the loving care of the nurses and staff at Cavan General Hospital. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Phyliss (USA) and Josephine Owens (Corlough), nephews Liam & Eammon Owens, niece Mary Owens, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the residence of his sister, Josephine Owens, in Drumbagh, Corlough today, Friday from 11am until 5.30pm followed by removal to St. Patrick's Church, Corlough arriving at 8.30pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 11pm with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Sr. Mary Bohan D.C. Blackrock, Dublin / Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim

Bohan, Sr Mary DC, St. Catherine’s Provincial House, Dunardagh, Temple Hill, Blackrock, Co. Dublin and late of Moneyroe, Gorvagh, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim – October 17th, 2018, peacefully in the loving care of Our Lady’s Hospice, Blackrock. Predeceased by her parents, Tilly and John Richard and her brother Ritty. Deeply regretted by her sisters, Tilda, Theresa and Tina, brother-in-law Jim, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, her Community of the Daughters of Charity, relatives and friends.

Reposing at St. Catherine’s Provincial House, today, Friday, from 3pm prior to prayers at 7.30 pm. Funeral Mass Saturday at 10.30am in St. Catherine’s followed by burial in Deansgrange Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to Our Lady’s Hospice, Blackrock, Co. Dublin.

Margaret Clarke (née Trimble) Sunnybank, Station Road, Carrick-on-Shannon, Roscommon / Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim

Margaret Clarke. Peacefully at her residence. Beloved wife of the late Des. Deeply regretted by her brothers-in-law Kevin and Dermot, sisters-in-law Marina and Patsy, relatives and friends. Funeral mass today, Friday at 12noon in St. Michael's Church, Drumlion. Burial afterwards in Drumlion Cemetery. House private at all other times.

Fr. Eamonn McMahon C.S.SP Sligo/Leitrim, Nigeria and Brazil

McMahon, Fr. Eamonn C.S.Sp. (late of), 5th October 2018 in Brazil. Fr. Eamonn was buried following Funeral Mass in the Church of Getsemani in São Paulo on Saturday 6th October. Brother of the late Angela, Gabrielle, Seán and Sr. Teresa SSL. Deeply regretted by brothers Bernie, Liam, Noel and Peter, sisters Camilla (Barrett), Margaret (Herriott) and Marie Celine (Bradshaw), the extended McMahon family and his fellow Spiritans.

Memorial Masses will be celebrated in Kimmage Manor on Saturday, October 27, at 11.30 am. and on Saturday, November 17, at 12 noon in St. Patrick’s Church, Dromahair, Co. Leitrim.

Henry Figg, Tarmonbarry, Roscommon / Sligo / Longford

Henry will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, partner Joan (Fogarty) and her children John and Laura, his sons Jason and Sean and their mother Christine, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brother, sister, relatives and friends. Private cremation will take place today, Friday in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Oncology Unit at The Regional Hospital,Tullamore, c/o Glennon Funeral Directors or any family member.
