Deaths in Leitrim for Friday, November 2

The following deaths have taken place in Leitrim and surrounding areas:

Mary (Mollie) Kilkenny (née Brady) - Drimna, Cloone, Leitrim

The death has occurred of Mary (Mollie) Kilkenny, (nee Brady), Drimna, Cloone, Co. Leitrim and formerly of Keeldra, Cloone, Co. Leitrim, Thursday, on November 1, peacefully at home in the loving care of her family in her 96th year.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Andrew (Kilkenny), her sister Bridie and her brother Michael. Much loved mother of son Patrick and daughter Mary. Mollie will be sadly missed by her brother Eddie and sister-in-law Marie (USA), son-in-law Kieran, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Mollie will repose in her home today, Friday, November 2, from 11am to 5pm followed by removal to St. Mary's Church Cloone arriving at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 3, at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Cloone Cemetery.

Henry Michael Johnston - Killesher House,144 Marble Arch Rd, Florencecourt, Fermanagh / Blacklion, Cavan

Sadly missed by his sisters Dorrie, Florrie, Sylvia his brother Harold, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Funeral service today, Friday at 1pm in the Church of Ireland, Killinagh, Blacklion, followed by burial in St John's Churchyard, Florencecourt.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired, to Alzheimer's Society or Marie Curie c/o Thomas Quinn Funeral Director or any family member.

Vincent Cunningham, 33 Millbrook, Kinlough, Co Leitrim

Formerly Ballinameen County Roscommon. Peacefully, in the care of the wonderful caring staff of Brentwood Manor Nursing Home, Convoy, Co. Donegal. Much loved husband of Maureen, caring father of Marc, Nicole and daughter-in-law Clare, loving grandfather of Matthew, Andrew and Daniel. Survived by his brothers Joseph (Ballinagare) and Francis (Leeds), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.

Removal of remains this morning, Friday to arrive at Saint Aidan's Church, Kinlough, for 11am funeral mass. Burial afterwards in Saint Aidan's Cemetery.

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland c/o any family member or Gilmartin Undertakers. House private on morning of funeral please.

Maura Cummins (née Starr) - Millhill Lawns, Manorhamilton, Leitrim / Sligo Town, Sligo

The death has occurred of Maura Cummins (nee Starr) of Millhill Lawns, Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim and formerly of Sheeling, Circular Road, Sligo. Sadly missed by her loving husband Mike, her children David, Fiona, Helen (Nel), Michéle, David and Aleem, sons-in-law Dave, Steve and Nick, daughters-in-law Annette and Fem, grandchildren Aifric, Macdara, Josh, Ethan, Kian, Luca, Dáithí, Saoirse, Yusuf, Zayn and Laila, her sister Terry, nieces, nephews, relatives and large circle of friends.

Removal to St. Clare's Church, Manorhamilton, this morning, Friday for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan Town at 4pm. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Our Lady's Hospital Patient Comfort Fund.

Pat Gallagher -12 Dristernan, Drumshanbo, Leitrim / Lough Allen, Leitrim

The death has occured unexpectedly of Patrick (Pat) Gallagher, 12 Dristernan, Drumshanbo and formerly of Tents, Lough Allen, Co. Leitrim. Predeceased by his sisters Josie Glesson, Mary Bohan and his brother Michael. Deeply regretted by his sister Eithna, brother-in-law Pat, sister-in-law Mai, nephews, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces, cousins, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Mass this morning, Friday at 1pm. Burial afterwards in Curraghs Cemetery, Tarmon. Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu to The Poor Clare Sisters, Drumshanbo.

John McPartlan -  Drumlease, Dromahair, Leitrim / Drumkeerin, Leitrim

The death has occurred unexpectedly of John McPartlan, known as Johnny, Drumlease, Dromahair and formerly of Corry, Drumkeerin, Co. Leitrim. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his brothers Patrick (Mohill) and Tommy (Corry, Drumkeerin); sisters Mary Munnelly (Tarmon, Drumkeerin) and Noreen McDermott (Cootehall); brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Funeral Mass this morning, Friday in St Colmcille's Church, Newbridge at 10.45am. Burial afterwards in Drumkeerin Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu to The Oncology Unit, Sligo University Hospital. House private, please, on the morning of the funeral.
