Deaths in Leitrim.

The following deaths have taken place in Leitrim and surrounding areas

Mary Flaherty (née O'Boy), Glasnevin, Dublin / Fenagh, Leitrim

Flaherty (née O’Boy) Mary (Glasnevin and formerly of Fenagh, Co. Leitrim), February 24th, 2019 (peacefully) in the tender care of the staff at Beneavin House Nursing Home; beloved wife of the late Tom, loving mother of Padraic, Máire, Maeve and the late Michael and cherished grandmother to Rónán, Ciarán, Niamh and Brian. Deeply regretted by her loving family, grandchildren, daughter-in-law Mary, sons-in-law Gerry and Peadar, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends. Mary will be reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand on Monday (February 25th) from 5pm to 7pm, with family in attendance. Removal to Our Lady of Dolours Church, Glasnevin on Tuesday (February 26th) arriving at 9.50am for 10am Requiem Mass followed by burial at Glasnevin Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations, in lieu, if desired, to Br. Kevin, Capuchin Day Centre. House private please.

John Fanning, Greagh, Foxfield, Fenagh, Leitrim

In St. Phelim's Nursing Home, Dromahair. Reposing at Shivnan's Funeral Home, Ballyfarnan from 10am to 11am on Monday, 25 February, followed by removal to St. Mary's Church, Foxfield, for Funeral Mass at 12.00 noon. Burial afterwards in Fenagh Abbey Cemetery.

Kitty Keany, The Village, Glenfarne, Leitrim

Predeceased by her husband Frank and daughter-in-law Marian. Sadly missed by her loving daughters Ann, Martina & Catherine, sons John, Prionsias, Paddy, Michael & Paul; son-in-law Reggie; grandchildren Cormac & Aisling; sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral Mass on Monday at 12 noon at St Mary’s Church, Glenfarne, with interment in adjoining cemetery.
