Sunny spells and heavy rain and hail showers, some possibly prolonged in places this morning with isolated thunderstorms. Some will be more wintry on higher ground with falls of sleet or wet snow likely.
Afternoon temperatures of 6 or 7 degrees Celsius in moderate to fresh and gusty west to southwest winds becoming strong near the coast.
Further showers tonight, some heavy or prolonged in places. Overnight lows of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius. Frost if any should be patchy as there will be a good deal of cloud and a moderate to fresh west to southwest breeze.
Tuesday: Cool and rather cloudy with further showery rain especially in the morning, the showers will become more scattered in the afternoon with some drier periods developing. Highs of 9 or 10 degrees Celsius
