Green Party announce two candidates for Leitrim Local Elections

This week the Green Party have announced they will run two candidates in the local elections this May.

Leslie O'Hora will try again to secure a seat for his party in the Carrick-on-Shannon electoral area. Mr O'Hora ran in the 2016 General Electiosn for Sligo-Leitrim and was excluded in the second count. A solar energy worker and founder of the Good Energies Alliance Group,he was a prominent campaigner in the anti-fracking protest movement.

A new Green Party candidates, Dr Bláithín Gallagher will compete for a council seat in the Manorhamilton electoral area.

Dr Gallagher is the chairperson The Model-Sligo,  and editor of the  Leitrim Guardian.
