The following deaths have occurred in the Leitrim area:

Bridget (Bridgie) McNamara (née Kiernan) Camber, Cloone, Leitrim / Aughnacliffe, Longford

The death has occurred of Bridget (Bridgie) McNamara née Kiernan of Camber, Cloone, Co. Leitrim and formerly of Fostra, Aughnacliffe, Co. Longford who passed away suddenly at her residence on Wednesday 13th March, 2019. Predeceased by her brother John-Joe Kiernan ( Aughnacliffe). Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband; Pat, her children; Patrick (Australia), Michael Joe (Dublin), Breege (Carrick-on-Shannon), Oliver ( Cloone), Mary Therese ( Gortletteragh), Carmel (Mohill), Paul (Galway) and Declan ( Cloone), brothers; Jim Kiernan ( Leixlip), Oliver Kiernan, (Luton, England), sisters-in-law, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, her 22 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives neighbours and friends. Reposing at her residence on Saturday from 11.30am to 2.30pm with removal to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Cloone at 5.00pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday (17th March) at 2pm with burial afterwards to the local cemetery. Please note that there will be no 10am Mass in Cloone on Sunday morning (St. Patrick’s Day). House private at all other times please.

Patrick (Pat) Clarke, Forosa, Drumlish P.O., Leitrim

Peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Retired secondary school teacher. Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Mona, son Conan, daughters Zena and Camilla (Davis), his brothers Frank (Northampton) and Albert (New York), his sisters Anna Mai Creegan and Marcella Conboy, son-in-law Peter, Zena's partner Peter, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends. Pat will be forever loved and remembered. Reposing in his home on Saturday from 3pm to 7pm. Removal on Sunday morning to St. Mary's Church, Gortletteragh for funeral Mass at 11.30am followed by burial in Gortletteragh Cemetery. House private Sunday morning. Car parking assembly point and shuttle bus to Forosa will operate from Fearglass Cross on Saturday evening as traffic restrictions will be in place. Please follow the directions of stewards.

Margaret (Peg) McPadden (née Loughlin) Main St, Drumkeerin, Leitrim

The death has occurred at St. Patrick's Hospital, Carrick-on-Shannon, of Margaret McPadden, known as Peg, nee Loughlin, Main St, Drumkeerin, Co. Leitrim. Predeceased by her husband Paddy and daughter Mary. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her daughter Carol (Langan), sons Noel and Paul, brothers Sean (Navan) and Paddy (Dromahair), daughters-in-law Marion and Margaret, sons-in-law Oliver and John, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral Mass today Saturday at 1pm in St. Brigid's Church, Drumkeerin. Burial to follow in Kilbride Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu to St. Patrick's Hospital Patients Comford Fund.

Sheila Mc Govern (née Shannon), Snugborough, Ballyconnell, Cavan

Deeply regretted by her loving husband Sean, son Shane, daughters Sinead & Déarbhla, father Tommy, sisters Mary, Kathleen, Breege, Geraldine, Rita, Caroline & Dympna, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives & friends. Rest in Peace. Remains will arrive at Our Lady of Lourdes church, Ballyconnell on Sunday evening at 7pm. Funeral mass on Monday at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private please.

Liam Donohoe, Fortfield House, Darraugh, Ballyconnell, Cavan

Liam Donohoe, Fortfield House, Darraugh, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan, died peacefully in the care of the Mater Private Hospital, Thursday 14th March, in his 86th year surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Maureen Lawlor, Frank Donohoe, Ray Dolan, Peter Donohoe and Vera Maguire. Liam will be very sadly missed by his grieving wife Nora, his sons Francis, Jim, Declan, Liam Jr. and Dessie, his daughters Aiveen Devine and Ciara Mannion, his daughters-in-law, sons-in-law and his adored grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his brothers Eugene and Oliver, his sister Cepta Devine, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews and his many friends.

Reposing at his home today Saturday from 12 noon to 5pm. House private at all other times please. Removal of remains at 6.30pm Saturday to arrive at St. Patrick's Church, Kilnavart for 7pm. Funeral Mass Sunday at 12.30pm with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired to palliative care, c/o Cavan General Hospital.

James Cooke, Lower Deerpark, Boyle, Roscommon

Suddenly, at Sligo University Hospital. Predeceased by his brother Nick. Surrounded in the loving care of his wife Elizabeth and his sons Seamus, Adrian, Declan, Kieran and Colm, grandchildren, Conor, Aisling, Ciara, Aidan, Cliona, Lauren and Sophie, daughters-in-law Shirlie, Marie, Lissa, Edwina and Emma, mother Betty, sisters Mary, Thersa and Debby, brother Kevin, nieces and nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends.

Reposing at his home (F52 FR80) on Sunday March 17th, 3-7pm. Removal to St. Joseph's Church, Boyle, for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon Monday morning. Funeral afterwards to Assylinn Cemetery, Boyle. House private on Monday morning and outside of reposing hours, please. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to Irish Motor Neuron Association, to any family member or Mahon's Undertakers.
