Teapot Lane makes top 50 Irish places to stay

Leitrim's Teapot Lane has secured a prestigious place on the Fab 50 - Irish Independent's 50 top places to stay in Ireland in 2019.

The glamping village located on the Leitrim-Sligo border includes a treehouse, yurts, a caravan and a cottage as alternative places to lay your head.
The beautiful vintage glamp site has been attracting attention for years and rightly deserves it's place on the list.
However we were confused at first when there were no places listed under Co Leitrim at first glance. Teapot Lane is attributed to Co Sligo.

Owner Kevin Haughesy clarified: “We are definitely in Leitrim and proud of it, right on the Sligo-Leitrim border but according to An Post our postal address is as they reported Teapot Lane Glamping, Castlegal, Co. Sligo.” He went on to say Sligo and Leitrim are both “beautiful counties so we don't mind.”

Leitrim named in top scenic drives
The scenic surrounds of north Leitrim recently scored a mention as part of the country's Top 10 scenic drives.
The Yeats Country Drive was named as the best scenic roadtrip by Irish Independent columnist, Pól Ó Conghaile.
The drive starts in Manorhamilton heading to the picturesque Glencar Waterfall before entering county Sligo.
Mr Ó Conghaile praised the “geographic-standard views” of this fabulous drive - certainly one of our hidden gems.
