Derek Ryan to set Carrick on the road to Christmas

Derek Ryan returns to the Landmark Hotel stage for a Christmas Dance on Saturday 17th, December at 10pm.
It's been a busy year for the Carlow man, who returned to the road with his band this year after two years of inactivity due to Covid. His 'Soft Ground' tour earlier in the year turned out to be his most successful to date and was followed by a UK tour and the recording of his latest album 'Pure and Simple' which was released at the beginning of this month and features 11 brand new
songs.

Derek also shared his Spotify figures for 2022 earlier in the month, revealing that his songs have racked up a hugely impressive total of 8.7 million plays from 600k listeners in 177 countries around the world on the music streaming app this year alone. Derek released his first album of Christmas songs in 2020 at the height of the pandemic, so he and his band have plenty of seasonal favourites in their repertoire, including his hit single/title track 'On the Road to Christmas'. So bring your dancing shoes and best Christmas jumper and kick the festive entertainment season off with a bang!
