TIME TO PICK YOUR CLUB STARS OF 2022

The initial votes have been cast and we're down to the final three nominations in each position for the Leitrim Observer Ladies & Men's Club Teams of the Year - now we're asking you to help pick our final 15 best club players of 2022.

Voting for both the Mens and Ladies Club Teams of the Year is now open on our website at www.leitrimobserver.ie and we're looking forward to the next two weeks to see who is recognised by the Leitrim public for their performances in 2022.

County champions St Mary's Kiltoghert and Glencar Manorhamilton dominate the nominations in our top three selections with the Carrick men picking up 14 nominations while Glencar Manorhamilton have 11 nominations in the Ladies Team of the Year.

League champions and senior finalists Mohill have seven nominations, just ahead of Intermediate winners Aughnasheelin (6) and defeated semi-finalists Fenagh St Caillins and Leitrim Gaels who have five each. Junior champions Carrigallen see Gary Reynolds & Eoin Ward nominated while Annaduff's Conor Reynolds, Glencar Manorhamilton's Barry McNulty and Aughawillan's Pearce Dolan make the final list.

In the Ladies team, St Mary's Intermediate winners have received nine nominations, one ahead of Senior B champions Kiltubrid while Senior A & B finalists Ballinamore Sean O'Heslins receive six minutes. There are two nominations for St Joseph's, Annaduff and St Francis with one each for Dromahair, Mohill and Leitrim Gaels.

Now it is up to you, the GAA public, to make the final Mens and Ladies selections for the Leitrim Observer Club Teams of the Year. The winner in each position will be the player that receives the most votes in that position.

All you have to do to vote is log into the sports section, find the story on our website at www.leitrimobserver.ie and vote for who you think should make the final selection. No postal or email votes will be accepted, only votes made online will count towards the final selection.

Voting will close at 5pm on Wednesday January 4, with the final selections announced in the Leitrim Observer on Wednesday, January 11, and on our website at www.leitrimobserver.ie
