One week to in voting for Leitrim Observer Men's & Ladies Club Teams of 2022

There is just one week to go to have your say on the Leitrim Observer Men’s and Ladies Club Teams of the Year for 2022 with a huge vote already in for our online poll to recognise the best club players of the past year.

Voting for both the Mens and Ladies Club Teams of the Year is live on our website at www.leitrimobserver.ie with links for each position also embedded at the bottom of this article and we're looking forward to seeing who makes the final 15 on both teams as voted for by the Leitrim public.

County champions St Mary's Kiltoghert (Men) and Glencar Manorhamilton (Ladies) dominate the nominations with the Carrick men picking up 14 nominations while Glencar Manorhamilton have 11 nominations in the Ladies Team of the Year.

League champions and senior finalists Mohill have seven nominations in the men’s, just ahead of Intermediate winners Aughnasheelin (6) and defeated semi-finalists Fenagh St Caillins and Leitrim Gaels who have five each. Junior champions Carrigallen see Gary Reynolds & Eoin Ward nominated while Annaduff's Conor Reynolds, Glencar Manorhamilton's Barry McNulty and Aughawillan's Pearce Dolan make the final list.

In the Ladies team, St Mary's Intermediate winners have received nine nominations, one ahead of Senior B champions Kiltubrid while Senior A & B finalists Ballinamore Sean O'Heslins receive six minutes. There are two nominations for St Joseph's, Annaduff and St Francis with one each for Dromahair, Mohill and Leitrim Gaels.

We asked our readers to pick out their best 15 Mens and Ladies Club Players of 2021 with players from 11 clubs making the final 45 nominations in the Ladies team while just nine clubs saw their players make the cut in the Men’s team. 

Now it is up to you, the GAA public, to make the final Mens and Ladies selections for the Leitrim Observer Club Teams of the Year. The winner in each position will be the player that receives the most votes in that position.

All you have to do to vote is log into the sports section, find the story on our website at www.leitrimobserver.ie and vote for who you think should make the final selection. No postal or email votes will be accepted, only votes made online will count towards the final selection.

Voting will close at 5pm on Wednesday January 4, with the final selections announced in the Leitrim Observer on Wednesday, January 11, and on our website at www.leitrimobserver.ie
