A meeting will be arranged between the Roads Department of Leitrim County Council and a Co-op store in Kinlough to address road safety concerns at the location.
This follows a motion brought forward by Cllr Justin Warnock at the July meeting of the Manorhamilton Municipal District, in which he requested that the MD contact the Roads Department to ask the CEO of Aurivo to provide an off-road loading and unloading facility for articulated trucks servicing their store in Kinlough, which he described as extremely busy.
The location is situated on the L2075 Uragh Road, near the junction with the L6064 Agharoo Road.
His motion highlighted that there have been numerous complaints from local residents and other road users about safety on the road.
A Council response confirmed that the Manorhamilton MD will write to Aurivo to request a meeting regarding road safety at the Kinlough store.
